Clifford Hart
Clifford A. Hart Jr. is a retired American diplomat, with more than 30 years experience in the US Foreign Service.
Hart's overseas experience includes three assignments to China and one each in the Soviet Union and Iraq.
His Washington assignments included , at the White House, as the National Security Council's China/Taiwan Director; at the Pentagon, Foreign Policy Advisor to the Chief of Naval Operations and, at the US State department, Director of the Office of Taiwan Coordination.
He was the US Consul General to Hong Kong & Macau from 2013 -2016.
Hart is a recipient of the State Department's highest commendation for diplomatic reporting and the US Navy's Distinguished Public Servant Award.
He holds a master's degree from the University of Virginia, where he was a President's Fellow.
