Jono Thomson
Journalist, Taiwan
He currently works for one of Taiwan’s largest English language news outlets writing about politics, social issues, and culture. He began working as a reporter after completing an MA in International Studies in Taipei, where he researched New Zealand’s foreign policy in the Pacific.
Jono studied Mandarin Chinese in Chongqing and Kunming over a period of two years, and is also a graduate of Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington, where he studied economics and political science.
