Jordan King
Dr Jordan King is a former Senior Research Adviser in the Asia New Zealand Foundation's research and engagement team.
Jordan has an academic and public sector background, having taught social sciences courses at the University of Auckland and Dawson College in Montréal, Canada. Jordan has also worked in public sector policy advisory roles at the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet (DPMC) and the New Zealand Customs Service. Earlier in his career Jordan coordinated international research exchanges at the Royal Society of New Zealand Te Apārangi and also worked as a Parliamentary staffer.
Jordan holds a PhD in sociology from the University of Auckland, an MA (Distinction) in sociology from Victoria University of Wellington and an MA in Chinese Development studies from the University of Hong Kong. Jordan joined the Foundation’s Leadership Network in 2014.
He currently works at the Retirement Commission in Wellington
